Tdh has been working in Afghanistan since 1995 and carry out projects related to Child Protection, Mother and Child health and Livelihood Programs in Kabul, Balkh, Kunar and Nangarhar provinces.

Job Description

Job Summary :

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, organizing, filing, cross-checking, and verifying all documents received from health facilities and project areas. The role includes recording project-related information into designated database systems and generating reports in line with agreed formats. The Data Entry Clerk ensures timely and precise data entry for all project requirements and develops an action plan to maintain consistency, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.

Main responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter project-related data (e.g., questionnaires, attendance lists, follow-up forms) into Access or Excel databases.

  • Ensure timely and consistent data entry of information provided by Health Facilities staff, project assistants, social workers, and animators.

  • Maintain data integrity and confidentiality of all beneficiary information in coordination with the line manager and relevant staff.

  • Collaborate with the MEAL Officer/Assistant/Manager in Kabul for support as needed.

  • Record and update beneficiary data for all project locations.

  • Support the team in preparing the Monthly report to the cluster, donor, and internal reporting.

  • Prepare and share weekly and monthly activity plans and reports with the line manager to ensure effective coordination.

  • Participate in conducting the Need assessment, baseline, and endline survey.

  • Participate in conducting the satisfaction survey when needed.

  • Monitor and verify beneficiary information and beneficiary vulnerability, distributions, and conduct Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) activities.

  • Support Complaint and Feedback Response Mechanism (CFRM) awareness during field visits and distribution events.

  • Assist in organizing and following up on project review and learning workshops as required.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning and scheduling of activities.

  • Facilitate effective communication and information sharing within the team and delegation.

  • Conduct field visits, when necessary, with prior approval from the line manager.

  • Perform any other tasks as may be requested by the line manager.

Job Requirements

Education :

University Degree, preferably in computer science or a related field

Experience / Skills :

Minimum two year of experience in data entry or a related role.

Languages:

Strong proficiency in local languages and good working knowledge of English

IT knowledge :

Strong skills in Excel, Word, and Kobo
