Job Description

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all transactions (cash, bank, receivables, payables).
  • Review and Prepare vouchers, invoices, receipts, and payment requests for accuracy and compliance before recording.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliation and monthly bank reconciliations; ensure safe custody of cash, bank cheques, and financial documents.
  • Prepare payroll, including salaries, benefits, and statutory payments, in accordance with local regulations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial reports and summaries for the Finance Manager.
  • Compile donor-specific financial data and supporting documentation as requested by the Finance Manager for external reporting.

 

 

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  2. At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting, or bookkeeping, preferably in an NGO environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting.
  4. Experience in managing donor-funded projects and understanding donor compliance requirements.
  5. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel) & Quickbooks.
  6. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  9. Strong integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards in handling financial data.
