Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and observing of all national guidelines and norms of the EPI system.
  • Perform duty according to the vaccination norms and protocols.
  • Determines appropriate vaccine type and dose volume appropriate for each client.
  • Doing vaccination both for children and women.
  • Collect on-time data and registration.
  • Keeping the proper temperature of the vaccine refrigerator and keeping a record of the temperature.
  • Filling the tally sheet of vaccination on a daily basis.
  • Observing hygiene on a daily basis.
  • Inform the relevant supervisor immediately in case the refrigerator or other equipment is not working.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports of your performance and submit to immediate supervisor.
  • Attend and participate in a meeting and training when invited by management staff.
  • Ensure correct disposal of sharps medical items and take them to the receptacle.
  • Educate people and communicate the importance of vaccines to the people and encourage them to apply the vaccine.
  • Ensure there is always enough supply in the cold chain.

 

General:

  • Maintain an attitude of respect and service towards all beneficiaries, clients and community members.  
  • Maintain an attitude of learning that continuously seeks to grow in professional skills and language learning and cultural understanding of the target community and co-workers
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Graduated from high school or health related program and received vaccination training certificate (EPI Initially training).
  • At least two years’ work experience in vaccination.
  • Mastery of the Dari language and familiarity with English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work and deal successfully in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong interest in health and well-being of all members of society
  • Decent, respectable appearance
  • Honest and hard-working, even without direct supervision
  • Problem solving skills.
