Phlebotomist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients using safe and accurate venipuncture and capillary collection techniques while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures on patients of all ages.
• Correctly identify patients and verify test requests before specimen collection.
• Label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the laboratory information system.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
• Follow proper specimen handling, storage, and transportation procedures.
• Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy work area.
• Report specimen collection issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to all organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and confidentiality standards.
