Job Description

The Community Mobilizer will work closely with communities to support the implementation of project activities, strengthen community participation, and promote awareness of project objectives and available services. The role includes mobilizing beneficiaries, conducting awareness sessions, facilitating community engagement, and supporting field-level coordination while ensuring inclusion, accountability, and safeguarding.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·       Mobilize communities and support beneficiary identification and registration in line with project criteria.

·       Conduct community meetings, awareness sessions, and outreach activities on project objectives and services.

·       Build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders, local authorities, and stakeholders.

·       Support the implementation of project activities and ensure active community participation.

·       Identify community needs, concerns, and feedback, and report them to the project team.

·       Promote accountability to affected populations (AAP), safeguarding, PSEA, and the organization's Code of Conduct within communities.

·       Assist in monitoring field activities and maintaining beneficiary records and activity reports.

·       Support complaint and feedback mechanisms and ensure community concerns are communicated appropriately.

·       Perform any other field-related duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements

·       Minimum of 2 years of experience in community mobilization, humanitarian, or development projects with national or international organizations.

·       Experience working with vulnerable communities, including women, IDPs, returnees, and host communities.

·       Good understanding of community engagement, accountability, safeguarding, and PSEA principles.

·       Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to work in remote field locations and engage effectively with diverse communities.

·       Fluency in Pashto and/or Dari is required; basic English is an advantage.

Knowledge & Skills:

·       Community mobilization and participatory approaches.

·       Awareness raising, facilitation, and communication skills.

·       Beneficiary registration and field data collection.

·       Report writing and record keeping.

·       Good coordination, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

·       Proficiency in MS Office applications is an asset.
