Job Description

The Field Coordinator will oversee field implementation and coordination of project activities, including data collection and conducting needs assessments. The role involves close coordination and communication with field staff, communities, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery. The Field Coordinator will also supervise field teams, monitor progress, support problem-solving, and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the implementation of project activities in the field to ensure timely and quality delivery
  • Conduct data collection, needs assessments, and field monitoring to inform program planning and decision-making
  • Maintain close communication and coordination with communities, local authorities, and stakeholders
  • Supervise and provide guidance to field staff to ensure effective performance and adherence to project standards
  • Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and support problem-solving on operational and logistical issues
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and timely submission of field updates to the management team
  • Facilitate community engagement and participation to strengthen program impact and accountability

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of project implementation, field coordination, and community engagement
  • Experience in data collection, needs assessments, (KOBO) and monitoring project activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with communities, stakeholders, and field staff
  • Ability to supervise teams, work independently, and solve operational challenges in field settings
  • Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto; basic English is an advantage
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to professionalism and accountability

Job Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

·       Experience in field coordination or project implementation

·       Strong communication and community engagement skills

·       Ability to manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders

·       Experience in field data collection and conducting needs assessments

·       Strong knowledge of community mobilization and problem-solving techniques

·       Willingness and ability to travel to all districts of Kunar province

·       Ability of reporting skills
