Call for CVs (Conditional on Project Award): M&E Officer

Afghanistan Development and Welfare Services Organization (ADWSO), an Afghan Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) operates in Afghanistan since 2008.  ADWSO’s priority sector areas are Child Protection, Livelihood Support, Vocational Training, Women Empowerment, Capacity Building and Rule of Law.

Note: Please be advised that this position is contingent upon the successful approval of our project proposal and associated grant funding. As part of the grant application process, the CVs of shortlisted candidates will be included in our submission to the funding body to demonstrate the quality and readiness of our proposed team. All offers of employment will be formally extended only upon final grant approval.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Ensure that all activities are implemented according to the activity plan and in line with the project and program objectives.

·        Participate and support the development of the M&E tools for the project including the M&E plan, checklist, and database on different levels.

·        Undertake regular monitoring of project activities in Project provinces to ensure that the quality and quantity of the program activities are being carried out according to Project.

·        Prepare and implement monthly monitoring and evaluation plans for the program in consultation with the M&E department.

·        Regular preparation of Monitoring and Evaluation reports required documents, photos, and success stories for ADWSO activities and handover to the Mazar HQ office.

·        Complete and submit regular reports on the monitoring and evaluation findings in the field to the Project Manager, which includes reporting of field visits.

·        Participate in designing program evaluations, monitoring systems, field assessments, and, research, including recruiting, selection, management and, oversight of field staff, individuals and, groups that implement various components of the fieldwork

·        Provide technical assistance to field teams during the implementation of activities.

·        Monitoring and evaluation of the project activities and ensuring monitoring and evaluation systems and quality controls are in place. (Provide proper Feedback to the team based on the finding).

·        Communicate closely with the field staff of the project for better reporting of the project.

·        A strong commitment to child protection vision, mission, and values and adhering to all child’s policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

·        At least 3 years of experience in performing monitoring and evaluation (intervention in child protection programs is an added advantage).

·        A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, BBA, or a related field. A degree in Social Work is an added advantage.

·        Experience working in Kobo data collection and kobo toolbox.

·        Communication skills in planning, reporting, and working relations.

·        Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in national languages.

·        Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in the English language.

·        Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint) and data analysis apps are an added advantage.

·        Ability to travel in Project provinces.
