Assignment Overview

Objective of the Assignment:
The primary objective of this consultancy is to improve the technical capacity and knowledge of WASSA's team in policy development. This includes reviewing and updating WASSA's current policies to meet professional standards, while developing new policies and processes for organizational improvement. By doing so, WASSA aims to empower its staff to become policy-makers who are engaged in promoting updated project documents and procedures.

Specific Objectives and Scope of the Work:

  • Review and update existing policies: 1: data privacy and 2: whistleblower policies.
  • Provide training on international standards, 1: IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and 2: IAS (International Accounting Standards), and offer guidance on finance policy, payroll preparation, and procurement procedures.

 

Deliverables:

Deliverable:  Application and action plan submission and fees     

Description:  Consultancy fees for the tasks         

Timeframe:   Before the assignment commences

Deliverable:                      

Description:   An action plan outlining activities, timelines, and responsibilities     

Timeframe:    Before the assignment commences

 

No: 03  

Deliverable:  Updated Policies    

Description:  The two mentioned policies are updated acceptably to Management.           

Timeframe:   3-6 weeks from signing the agreement.

 

No: 04  

Deliverable:  Conduct Training   

Description:  Finance team Oriented fully on IFRS and IAS, the posttests confirm.

Timeframe:   3-6 weeks from signing the agreement.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in capacity-building training, particularly in management and policy development for various target groups, including staff, supervisors, and community institutions.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in project management and organizational development, with a focus on policy improvement and strategic growth.
  • Proven experience in developing training materials and facilitating advanced capacity-building programs.
