RRSWO acts on the fundamental premise that women and girls have the right to live a life free of discrimination, violence and poverty, and that gender equality is central to achieving development with reach, sizable expertise and significant resources. For too long, women have been forced to stand on the sidelines, whether the issue is political leadership, safety in conflict zones, protection from violence or access to public services. Now women must come to the centre as leaders, advocates and agents of change.

Job Descriptions:

The Female Social Worker will be a key part of a holistic women’s empowerment project aimed at supporting women affected by crises. This role involves providing psychosocial support, facilitating reintegration into the workforce, and addressing social and emotional challenges. The social worker will also be involved in community-led initiatives to enhance women's access to vocational training, economic opportunities, and market access. She will work closely with other project teams to ensure beneficiaries receive comprehensive services that promote both mental well-being and economic independence.

Job Requirements:

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to women affected by crises, helping them cope with emotional, psychological, and social challenges.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify the needs of participants and tailor support services accordingly.
  • Develop and implement psychosocial support programs to enhance emotional resilience and mental well-being.
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals for referrals when necessary.
  • Create personalized care plans for beneficiaries, ensuring they receive appropriate services, including counseling, vocational training, childcare, and access to financial services.
  • Monitor and document the progress of beneficiaries, making adjustments to care plans as needed to ensure their well-being and empowerment.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency support for women experiencing acute psychological distress or social issues.
  • Work closely with vocational trainers, financial institutions, and mentors to ensure that women are supported not only emotionally but also economically.
  • Help women access available vocational and entrepreneurship training, including facilitating participation by addressing barriers like childcare.
  • Assist beneficiaries in developing life skills, including communication, decision-making, and time management, to help them succeed in their livelihood opportunities.
  • Participate in community outreach activities to raise awareness about women’s rights, psychosocial support services, and available economic opportunities.
  • Support the creation of community-led initiatives that empower women and promote their access to markets, financial services, and social services.

Advocate for women’s mental health and well-being within the community, working to reduce stigma around seeking psychosocial support
