About TLO:

The Liaison Office (TLO) founded in 2003 as an Afghan non-governmental organization (NGO) that emerged from a Swisspeace pilot project (supported by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung) with the aim of improving local governance, stability, and security through systematic and institutionalized engagement with customary structures, local communities, civil society groups, and government institutions. TLO is based in Kabul, with regional offices in Paktia, Khost, Paktika, Herat, Ghazni, Farah, Samangan and Baghlan and additional field offices across Afghanistan. TLO works to achieve its objectives through key program activities: research and analysis, dialogue facilitation for peacebuilding, access to justice and governance, humanitarian assistance, third party monitoring and evaluation, and environment & natural resources management.

Job Descriptions:

  • Assist in the implementation and coordination of health, nutrition, and WASH project activities.
  • Support the establishment of Mobile Health & Nutrition Teams (IMHNTs) in targeted communities.
  • Facilitate training and capacity building for community health workers (CHWs).
  • Conduct community outreach to promote awareness of health and nutrition services.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
  • Support the development of IEC materials for community awareness sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities and participant engagement.
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders to ensure community involvement in projects.
  • Assist in managing logistics, including travel and supplies for staff and volunteers.
  • Participate in community assessments to identify health and WASH needs.
  • Prepare reports on project activities and outcomes for management review.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive team environment and effective communication.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred,
  • At least 3-5 years of professional working experience in a similar position,
  • Excellent English, Pashto and Dari (spoken and written) skills,
  • High-level proficiency in MS Office and Internet applications,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Punctual and hard-working, desire to meet deadlines,
  • Comprehensive knowledge of reporting.
