About Organization of Human Welfare (OHW):

The Organization of Human Welfare (OHW) is a non-governmental organization and is non-political, not-for-profit, and impartial organization with no bias towards a particular religion, ethnicity, or political belief. It has its own independent legal status and entity. OHW is operating since 2007 in the country with active membership with the national clusters and international donor agencies in Afghanistan including SWABAC, ACBAR, AICS, BAAG, AWN and most of the national and international Clusters operates based in Afghanistan.

Job Summary

The Child Friendly Spaces Facilitator (CFS) will work in selected villages/communities in the relevant district of relevant province (Nangarhar) in the eastern region under direct supervision of the Program Officer, S/he will coordinate and supervise the children performance, inclusion of children, community performance and help technically other OHW target group children to carry out the project implementation and to be regularly in field sites. The Facilitators will report to Program Officer, work in close cooperation with other district and regional program staff. Much of their work will revolve around community-wide meetings, children facilitation from harmful practices and violence within community, supporting children through safe migration facilities, and specific task forces assigned for specific works and ensuring sustainability of all interventions.

The CFS Facilitator is responsible to collect, organize, and to generate the required children reports and will report to the Program Officer on monthly basis or based on requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Overall responsible for capacity development, trainings and awareness sessions conduction, conflict resolution and liaison with other key stakeholders in the target area
  • Read, understand and apply the project operational manual in the area of responsibility
  • To conduct community mobilization for the full inclusion of children in community
  • To establish a good communication between different councils, community representatives, children, children’s parents, other governmental agencies, civil society organizations who are working for child protection
  • Conflict resolution of children and facilitation of children in the Child Friendly Space in community level in target area
  • To Assist and facilitate target group children on vocational trainings, small businesses and introduce the most vulnerable children for financial support in cash.
  • To Assist children and improve coordination, linkages and communication with CSOs and Governmental bodies at village and district level for children rights.
  • To improve transparency and accountability within the most vulnerable children for financial support through applying different tools.
  • To maintain productive and comprehensive coordination within program staff.
  • To Maintain and follow all organizational procedures, guidelines and code of conduct
  • To keep update data, proper documentation, filling and reporting to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
  • To complete all project related planned activities in the scheduled timeframe.
  • To perform any other related tasks as required and asked but the immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Promote gender equality, non-discrimination with regard to ethnic, political and religious background
  • To participate actively in workshops, seminars & conference organized by the OHW management
  • Promotes good coordination with other OHW projects.

 

 Job Requirements:           

  • Graduated from 12th grade or higher education that will be preferred.
  • Experience:     
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ relevant experience, especially within an NGO, UN agencies or similar organization.
  • Work experience at grass root level, Community Facilitation, Community Mobilization and Community Development, in addition experience of working with full inclusion of children in the community level is highly preferred.
  • Experience of planning, and reporting.
  • Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto, both written and spoken.
