Society Educational Awareness Research Consultancy and Health (SEARCH) Organization is an independent registered non-government and nonprofit civil society organization. SEARCH Organization prime motto is capacity building and services delivery to the deprived and marginalized people of the society. In 2015 a group of educated, dynamic and like-minded youth working in the development sector, got together to establish an organization, for addressing the most urgent and pressing needs of the people of Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

  • Conduct assessments of children's psychosocial needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with children and their caregivers.
  • Provide direct counselling and psychosocial support services to children and families, focusing on trauma recovery, emotional well-being, and resilience building.
  • Facilitate group sessions and workshops on topics such as child rights, life skills, conflict resolution, and positive parenting.
  • Advocate for the rights and protection of children within the community and engage with local authorities and stakeholders to promote child-friendly policies and practices.
  • Conduct home visits and community outreach activities to identify vulnerable children and families in need of support.
  • Collaborate closely with other project staff, including MHPSS Counsellors, educators, and healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated service delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of social work interventions, collecting data and feedback to inform program improvements.
  • Assist the community members and elders in establishing (CBCPN) to monitor and support the child protection activities in the community
  • Conduct awareness raising about child rights and Children Protection and other relevant CP issues.
  • Regular visits from the CFs and sharing the feedbacks with the Senior Social Workers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records, reports, and documentation in accordance with organizational and donor requirements.
  • Regular Reports to line supervisor
  • Identification of CP cases and management of the identified cases (Reunification, Re-integration) according to SoP.
  • Participate in training and capacity-building activities for community volunteers and stakeholders on child protection and psychosocial support.
  • Perform any other duty assign by the immediate supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counselling, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications in social work or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in providing, CP case management, social work services, preferably in child protection, humanitarian, or community development settings.
  • Proper knowledge of CP case management forms
  • Strong understanding of child development, child protection principles, and psychosocial support methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work sensitively and effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Proficiency in local languages spoken in the project area is an asset. English is required.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and safeguarding principles in all aspects of work.
