About (TEDHO) Taghir Educational Development And Health Organization:

The WHRO (Wise Hamrah Reconstruction Organization, which is now renamed as TEDHO) was established on 6th October 2003 under registration number 1629, registered with the Economy Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. TEDHO was reformed with the goal of assisting Afghan society in realizing the same predetermined goals of making Afghanistan a better place for vulnerable men, women, and children in terms of their basic rights and humanitarian services, in collaboration with other credible national and international partners. TEDHO has had a strong track record of providing humanitarian services to Afghanistan, including support for education programs, vocational training, and infrastructure projects. Over the years, TEDHO has made significant contributions towards improving the lives of vulnerable men, women, and children in the country. Job Descriptions:

District Supervisor Job Description:

  • Oversee the overall implementation of the food and cash-based distributions in the assigned district.
  • Manage the field staff, including Distribution Officers, Warehouse Stock Keepers, Guards, Distributors, and Field Monitors.
  • Ensure the effective coordination and collaboration among the various team members.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the field staff on the implementation of TEDHO's standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor the performance of the distribution sites and warehouses, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular field visits to observe the distribution processes and provide on-site support.
  • Analyze the data and reports received from the field teams, and identify trends and issues.
  • Escalate any significant problems, protection concerns, or operational challenges to the Project Manager.
  • Facilitate the organization and implementation of community-level meetings and consultations.
  • Promote the effective and equitable delivery of entitlements to the targeted beneficiaries.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of distribution-related data and progress.
  • Collaborate with the local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to address any access or operational challenges.
  • Maintain strong communication and coordination with the Project Manager and other district-level supervisors.
  • Provide guidance and support to the field teams on the effective management of complaints and feedback.
  • Identify capacity-building needs and coordinate the delivery of relevant training and mentoring.
  • Contribute to the overall project monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) efforts.
  • Ensure the adherence to TEDHO's policies, protocols, and principles related to protection, gender, and accountability.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant field (social sciences, development, or humanitarian studies).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing field-level humanitarian or development programs.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make sound decisions.
  • Proficient in local languages (Dari/Pashto) and fluency in English.
