Job Descriptions:

Scope of Work:

The Field Officer is responsible for project implementation, supervision of activities and coordination with DoPH, district authorities and relevant BPHS NGOs.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Project Planning and Implementation: Oversee the planning, development, and execution of Stunting Prevention Project, ensuring they align with national health and nutrition strategies and meet the needs of the target population. He will also lead and manage project teams, providing guidance, training, and support to staff and stakeholders to achieve project goals effectively and efficiently.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement robust monitoring and supervision systems to track project progress, assess the effectiveness of interventions, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with WFP, government officials, community leaders, donors, and other NGOs to coordinate activities, foster partnerships, and enhance program outreach and impact.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the project budget, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately, expenditures are tracked, and financial reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on project activities, outcomes, and lessons learned, and ensure timely submission to relevant parties, including donors and government agencies
  • Manage and coordinate field operations
  • Coordinate the project activities with DoPH, BPHS and district authorities and liaise with local authorities, local shuras at the field level
  • Perform regular field visits to ensure quality of services by field team and to verify the accuracy of reported data
  • Mobilize communities to contribute their part to the project so that the communities are functioning well and participating in relevant project activities
  • Prepare monthly progress report, stock report and attendance report
  • Prepare completion reports and send to Project officer/Project Manager
  • Ensure a suitable community-based involvement
  • Implementing and managing field activities according to the project guidelines
  • Coordinating and liaising with local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders
  • Implement and monitor program activities
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with local communities, stakeholders and staff
  • Conduct regular meetings with community members to understand their needs
  • Support the field team in organizing and executing field activities
  • Any other relevant task given by Supervisor

 

 

Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:

Graduated from recognized university as a Medical Doctor /At least two years’ experience in health supervision and Capacity building / training /Good communication skills (written & spoken) of Pashto, Dari and knowledge of English is an advantage /Very good in adult training and community mobilization /Basic computer knowledge is an advantage /Being an Afghan citizen.
