Job Descriptions:

Scope of Work:

The field supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a field team include of community-based training (CHWs). She/he is also responsible for supervision of all Health activities in health facilities (HFs) / Health post level and to assist the Project Management team on management of activities in field level. S/he will provide needed support and on the job training to the field staff. S/he will supervise health activities in the project and assure provision of proper health service within the project.

The field supervisor will guarantee through supervision the all-related activities within the field and appropriate utilization of the resource in accordance with the project contract as well as AYSO regulation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervision: Implement robust monitoring and supervision from the HPs on regular base and provide technical support for improvement of program implementation.

 

  • Data collection and Reporting: Collecting and Prepare detailed data and information for weekly and monthly reports, outcomes, and lessons learned, and ensure timely submission to Project Office for further process.

 

 

  • Supply tracking and quality assurance of SNF at HP level: Identify appropriate warehouse that meet the necessary quality and safety standards at HPs level. he will also establish a comprehensive inventory management system and conduct regular physical stock counts with HPs. Commodity needs will be forecast based on target beneficiary numbers and consumption of each HP. Clear protocol for commodity requisition, delivery, and receipt at the HP will be established and monitored. 
  • Implement robust monitoring and supervision from the HPs on regular base and provide technical support for improvement of program implementation. Conduct regular field supervision from the CHS/HPs activities and provide timely on the job training and feedback.
  • Data collection and Reporting: Collecting and Prepare detailed data and information for weekly and monthly reports, outcomes, and lessons learned, and ensure timely submission to Project Office for further process.
  • To supervise and support field staff through conduction of on the job training.
  • Supervise field staff and assess staff to find gap / need and assist project officer on TNA and planning designing of training.
  • To develop supervision plan and material for supervision of field staff.
  • Take part and conduct supervision from the household survey process for the selection of children 6-23 months and PLWs.  
  • To do regular training need assessment of the field staff and made recommendation to Project Manager.
  • Take part in Identification of community influentials and networks.
  • Prepare and submit the supervision report on a timely basis.
  • Assist the project team in the assessment of the implementation process of the community nutrition plan
  • Active participation in the relevant meetings at the community, HFs, central and provincial levels.
  • Perform any other task as assigned by the Provincial Project Coordinator.

Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:

Graduated from recognized university as a Medical Doctor /At least two years’ experience in health supervision and Capacity building / training /Good communication skills (written & spoken) of Pashto, Dari and knowledge of English is an advantage /Very good in adult training and community mobilization /Basic computer knowledge is an advantage /Being an Afghan citizen.
