Job Descriptions:

Major Responsibilities:

  • Management of Cloud and Email Services: Oversees Office 365, Exchange Online, and On-Premises Exchange Email Services, ensuring robust performance and security.
  • Active Directory Management: Manages both On-Premises Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, ensuring efficient user management and security protocols.
  • Virtualization Platforms: Administers and optimizes virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V to support efficient resource utilization and scalability.
  • File Server Management: Primary contact for maintaining the File Server environment, including configuration, access rights management, capacity monitoring, and backup integrity.
  • Security Infrastructure: Provides technical support for security products like SentinelOne Scan Alert, ensuring effective threat detection and resolution.
  • Server and Operating System Management: Manages Microsoft Server inventory, configures virtual labs, monitors system health, troubleshoots issues, and performs OS installations and upgrades.
  • Configuration Management: Manages SCCM/WSUS servers for centralized management of operating system updates across the network, ensuring compliance and security.
  • Incident and Change Management: Records and maintains accurate incident and change logs, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Monitoring and Backup: Utilizes tools like PRTG Server for proactive monitoring of server performance and oversees backup and restore operations for Windows servers.
  • Backup and Recovery Management: Responsible for ensuring the backup and restore operations of critical servers, applications, and data using both native Windows tools and third-party solutions. Implements and maintains backup schedules, verifies backups, and ensures data integrity.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develops and maintains comprehensive disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure the organization can recover swiftly and effectively from unforeseen incidents. Conducts regular testing and updates of disaster recovery plans to align with evolving business needs and technology advancements.
  • Incident Response: Acts as a key responder during system outages or disruptions, coordinating with relevant teams to restore services swiftly and minimize downtime. Maintains incident response documentation and ensures lessons learned are applied to enhance system resilience.
  • Technical Support: Provides end-user support, resolves technical issues related to operating systems, and offers technical guidance to optimize system usage.
  • After-Hours Support: Commits to working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 operational support. Responds promptly to incidents and system failures, collaborating with teams to minimize downtime and restore services swiftly.

Job Requirements:

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management information system (MIS) or Computer Science (CS) with educational focus combining technical, problem-solving, and management skills

 

EXPERINCES

  • 3 to 5 years of overall experience in IT services and systems management, encompassing hardware and software administration, with a strong emphasis on data center operations.
  • Comprehensive Understanding: Preferably, possesses component-level, end-to-end understanding of data center operations. Proficient in network management, Office 365, Exchange Online and On-Premises Exchange Server, domain controllers, file server management, firewall technologies (such as Fortinet, TMG, and web-sense), virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and storage management.

Desirable Skills:

  • Storage Experience: Demonstrates proficiency in storage technologies, including configuration, maintenance, and optimization to support effective data center operations.
  • Linux Proficiency: Knowledge of Linux systems is considered advantageous, showcasing versatility and broad expertise in IT environmentss

Training & Certifications:

Candidates with the following certifications and relevant on-the-job experience are preferred:

  • Microsoft Certifications: MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional), certifications in Office 365, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Additional Certifications: MCTS and CCNA
  • Linux Proficiency: Knowledge of Linux systems is considered a plus, demonstrating versatility and broader expertise in IT environments.
