The Afghan Paramount Welfare and Development Organization (APWDO) is a national, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established in 2008 and formally registered in 2010 with the Afghanistan Ministry of Economy (MoEc) under license number 0000. Operating across 36 provinces, APWDO focuses on humanitarian assistance, emergency response, protection, women empowerment, food and shelter security, health services, education, vocational training, WASH, agricultural development, disaster management, peacebuilding, economic growth, youth development, and environmental sustainability.
Rooted in the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and Afghanistan's socio-cultural values, APWDO emphasizes evidence-based interventions informed by consultations with local communities and institutions. The organization collaborates with key international partners, including UNDP, UNICEF,Save the Children, IDLO, UNOPS, UNOCHA, FCDO, DOS, and USAID, relying on international funding to implement impactful initiatives.

APWDO is currently implementing the SCI Education Project in Balkh Province, where Community Mobilizers play a crucial role. They are responsible for engaging with local communities to raise awareness, encourage participation, and build support for project activities. They facilitate communication between the organization and the community, ensure the inclusion of marginalized groups, and help implement programs addressing community needs effectively.
Specific Responsibilities of Community Mobilizers:
Mobilize and support communities in targeted locations.
Facilitate dialogue between the community and relevant groups.
Conduct conflict analysis and assessment.
Develop action plans for training sessions and events.
Follow up activities with religious leaders and community-level structures.
Collect means of verification for project activities through meetings, interviews, and visits.
Conduct surveys and evaluations.
Generate meeting minutes and event reports.
Provide reports to line manager.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–4 years of relevant experience in community development or a related role.
Strong commitment to the project’s mission and values.
Demonstrated judgment, patience, and a positive attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven experience in community engagement and collaboration with diverse groups.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and internet tools.
