About Your Voice Organization (YVO):

Your Voice Organization (YVO) is a National NGO registered as a non-governmental, nonprofit organization under the constitution of NGO law of Afghanistan, with the Ministry of Economy. YVO was established in 2019 and works on different humanitarian sectors such as education, peacebuilding, food security and livelihood, and the provision of different kinds of emergency responses and relief to the affected people. Job Descriptions:

The Field Coordinator, under the direct supervision of the project officer, will be responsible for the effective implementation of the project activities at the district level. He/she will support the program staff of the project to achieve its goals and objectives. The Field Coordinator will provide technical support to the community mobilizers, supervise day-to-day activities, attend meetings, and establish BSCs. He/she will also be responsible for conducting awareness sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the project staff to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical support to community mobilizers.
  • Supervise day-to-day activities of the project staff and attend meetings with stakeholders and partners.
  • Help establish and maintain the BSCs for and represent the project at district level meetings.
  • Conduct awareness sessions and ensure their effective delivery.
  • Monitor project activities and ensure they are implemented according to the project plan.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and accountability standards.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on project progress and activities.
  • Serve as the Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) focal point for the project at district level.
  • Ensure compliance with YVO’s child protection guidelines and standards, including confidentiality, respect, and safety in project implementation.
  • Promote gender equality within the project and ensure equal participation.
  • Conduct regular visits to the field in Laghman and Kunar Provinces to monitor project activities and provide support to field staff.
  • Ensure effective community engagement and mobilization.

Job Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in humanitarian projects.
    • Experience in community mobilization, project management, and staff supervision.
    • Experience working with local communities and government departments.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in local languages (Pashto and/or Dari) and working level English.
    • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
    • Proficiency in using data collection tools such as Kobo Toolbox.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the safeguarding policies

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to be based in YVO Jalalabad Main Office and travel regularly to field locations in Laghman and Kunar Provinces.
  • Respect for cultural diversity and the ability to work with diverse groups.
