About WSTA:

Funded by UNHCR, Watan’s Social and Technical Services Association (WSTA) is implementing the Community-Based Protection Monitoring, Community Engagement, Rapid Household Needs Assessment, Complaint and Feedback Mechanisms, and Distribution of CRI/NFI projects in Herat, Badghis, Ghor, Farah and Nimroz provinces of Western Region, Afghanistan. WSTA has 32 years of progressive experience in protection (general protection, GBV, child protection, HLP, civil documentation, etc.), shelter, food security, nutrition, WASH, health and education in different parts of the country. With a dedicated and professional management team, WSTA is committed to provide humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable population in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

Under director supervision of the CFM Officer, the CFM Field Monitor will manage the field level CFM activities, which include,

  1. Refer sensitive or complex cases (e.g., protection-related complaints) to appropriate internal or external actors, ensuring safe and ethical practices.
  2. Follow up with complainants to provide updates on their complaints' status where applicable.
  3. Act as a bridge between affected communities and humanitarian actors by advocating for the resolution of complaints.
  4. Participate in community engagement activities to strengthening the awareness raising about the existence mechanisms and purpose of the CFM.
  5. Be aware of and sensitive to cultural and gender norms specific to Afghanistan, ensuring accessibility for marginalized groups, including women, children, and persons with disabilities.
  6. Navigate security risks and adapt communication methods to maintain the safety of staff and complainants.
  7. Compile and analyze data on complaints and feedback to identify trends, gaps, or systemic issues in program delivery.
  1. Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor/line manager.

Job Requirements:

Holding a High School Degree or Bachelor's Degree
2 Experience working with national or international NGOs Preferably in the Protection Sector
Fluent in Dari and Pashto languages- intermediate knowledge of English Language (High level is a plus point)
Familiarity or ability to operate the KOBOToolbox
