About WSTA:

Funded by UNHCR, Watan’s Social and Technical Services Association (WSTA) is implementing the Community-Based Protection Monitoring, Community Engagement, Rapid Household Needs Assessment, Complaint and Feedback Mechanisms, and Distribution of CRI/NFI projects in Herat, Badghis, Ghor, Farah and Nimroz provinces of Western Region, Afghanistan. WSTA has 32 years of progressive experience in protection (general protection, GBV, child protection, HLP, civil documentation, etc.), shelter, food security, nutrition, WASH, health and education in different parts of the country. With a dedicated and professional management team, WSTA is committed to provide humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable population in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

Under direct supervision of the Regional Coordinator, the CRI Field Monitors will manage the need assessment/reverification, coordination with stakeholders and distribution of core-relief items/non-food items to target population of concern in western region. The main duties include,

  1. Collaborate with program teams to plan CRI/NFI distributions based on needs assessments and beneficiary data.
  2. Identify and verify distribution sites, ensuring accessibility, security, and suitability.
  3. Assist in beneficiary targeting and registration, ensuring inclusivity and transparency.
  4. Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, and other humanitarian actors to facilitate smooth operations.
  5. Support the creation of community awareness about distribution plans, criteria, and schedules.
  6. Monitor CRI/NFI distributions in real-time to ensure adherence to distribution plans and standards.
  7. Ensure that items are distributed equitably and according to the planned beneficiary lists.
  8. Oversee crowd control measures, ensuring safety and order during distributions.
  9. Ensure special accommodations for vulnerable groups, such as women, children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
  10. Monitor compliance with organizational policies, humanitarian principles, and donor requirements during distributions.
  11. Analyze PDM data to identify gaps, challenges, and areas for improvement in the distribution process
  12. Prepare detailed monitoring reports for program management and donors, highlighting findings and recommendations.
  1. Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor/line manager

Job Requirements:

Holding a High School Degree or Bachelor's Degree
2 Experience working with national or international NGOs Preferably in the Protection Sector
Fluent in Dari and Pashto languages- intermediate knowledge of English Language (High level is a plus point)
Familiarity or ability to operate the KOBOToolbox
