Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing first aid health emergency services.

• Screening of under 5 years of age children on a regular basis to identify cases of malnutrition and lactating and pregnant women.

• Providing regular daily base integrated management of child illness (IMCI) services at health facility.

• Treat under five children suffering from severe and moderate acute malnutrition.

• performing regular growth monitoring for under 2 children. Completing treatment cards and ration cards for children with severe and moderate acute malnutrition.

• Registering cases of malnutrition and promoting their treatment and make a comprehensive registration system for nutrition unit (OPD SAM and MAM).

• Distributing nutritional IEC materials according to the national nutrition guidelines.

• Regular reporting according to the national nutrition guidelines.

• providing first aid health care assistance in urgent cases and other cases that are necessary.

• Accurately measure and record MUAC, weights, heights, oedema and lengths of the beneficiaries according to the nutrition criteria and proper nutrition counseling to client as per Nutrition cluster/ MoPH nutrition guideline or policy.

• Able to Calculate RUTF/RUSF, super cereal and other medical supplies (Vitamin A, Mebendazole, Ferfolic, etc.) to malnourished children and give on weekly basis and biweekly distribution of nutrition supplies to SAM and MAM cases.

• Performing additional tasks (related to the health center services) is requested by the relevant manager.

• Checking the cleanliness of materials and equipment after each use and correctly carrying out the sterilization process of materials.

• Follow up of malnourished children if they do not center through CHW.

• Filling the IMAM report template on monthly basis and report to World Vision

• Filing information on MNS awareness raising or psychosocial support sessions

• Submit relevant forms at the end of each day and restock field supplies as necessary.

• Fully implement the IMAM guideline based on the nature of work.

• Check the stock make consumption report and request for new supplies.

• maintain all equipment in good working order and report any problems or needs.

Job Requirements:

• Graduated from an accredited/recognized Nursing institute/program.

• At least 3 years working experience ..

• Fluency in spoken and written Dari and Pashtu is a requirement or at least local language where she is assigned to work.

• Culturally flexibility and respect multi-cultural environment.

• Good team work spirit and very good communication with staff & clients.
