Johanniter International Assistance. (www.johanniter-int.org) is a German non-governmental organisation, dedicated to excellence in the field of first aid, ambulance service, social service programmes and other projects in the medical and social field. The Federal Headquarters are based in Berlin, Germany. Johanniter International Assistance is the operational unit for humanitarian aid, development co-operation and emergency relief, implementing and supporting mostly health projects worldwide.

Johanniter is working is Afghanistan since October 2002 providing emergency aid, rehabilitation of health facilities, medical care and capacity building for community health workers, students, teachers and professionals of NGOs and government agencies in disaster preparedness and first aid skills. Johanniter’s country office is located in Kabul and has operational coverage in the North, Northeastern and central region with possibility of expansion in the South and Western provinces of Afghanistan.

Job Summary / Purpose:

• To clean buildings and grounds of the Encashment Centre.
• Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include tending furnace and boiler, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To obtain good and nice decoration for the rooms /Offices
2. Keep the tents and grounds clean
3. Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings
4. Check all the equipment’s are regularly & nicely washed and cleaned. Notify managers concerning the need for major or minor repairs.
5. Have good relation and cooperation with the other colleagues
6. Has the full responsibility of the grounds and tents of the office.
7. Must obey and work according the time and schedule given by his/her supervisor.
8. Performs any other duty given to her by his/her supervisor.
9. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
10. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
11. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
12. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
13. Any other duty assigned by the line manager.

Education:

Primary education (Dari reading and writing is desired)

Experience:

Two years of obligatory experience in a similar position.

Language Professions:

Proficiency in Dari or Pashto is required
