Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

• Conduct thorough medical examinations and collect patient history to assess the overall health status and determine the appropriate course of treatment.
• Diagnose a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions, using necessary medical tests and procedures, and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, treatments, and therapies, considering the best available medical options and the patient’s unique circumstances.
• Provide counseling and health education to patients and their families regarding preventive care, treatment options, and general wellness.
• Perform minor surgeries and medical procedures as required, ensuring patient safety and proper aftercare.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with clinic policies, privacy regulations, and medical standards.
• Assess emergency cases and refer patients to hospitals or specialist healthcare providers when necessary.
• Stay informed about the latest medical research, treatments, and advancements to provide the best possible care to patients.
• Actively participate in medical team meetings to discuss patient care, treatment progress, and collaborative healthcare planning.
• Monitor and manage the clinic’s pharmacy, ensuring the timely availability and proper distribution of medications according to prescriptions. Regularly check the expiration dates of medicines and report any discrepancies.
• Ensure that patients are properly registered in the clinic’s patient database/ registrations, maintaining accurate records for follow-up and reporting purposes.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly reports from the activity of the clinic, and pharmacy.
• Adhere to all legal, ethical, and professional standards in medical practice, including confidentiality, patient rights, and healthcare regulations.
• Conduct other tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a practicing physician in a healthcare setting.
• Valid medical license to practice in Afghanistan.
• Comprehensive understanding of medical procedures, diagnoses, treatment modalities, and healthcare practices.
• Proficiency in Dari/Pashto and English languages.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills, with the ability to engage with patients from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Familiarity with local health issues and healthcare challenges in Afghanistan.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, respecting local customs, traditions, and practices.
• Willingness to work in a challenging and dynamic healthcare environment, adapting to the needs of the local population and the resources available.
