Values:
Train women in cutting, stitching, and designing traditional Afghan clothes (e.g., dresses, shalwar kameez, children’s wear).
Teach hand embroidery, simple handicrafts, and decorative stitching styles used in Afghan culture.
Guide on creating marketable items such as handmade bags, table covers, cushion covers, and simple jewelry.
Introduce basic business and pricing concepts to help trainees understand how to sell their products.
Support trainees in developing product quality, finishing, and presentation for market use.
Prepare and follow a step-by-step curriculum based on the group’s skill level.
Ensure a safe, respectful, and culturally appropriate space for women to learn and share.
Monitor trainee progress and provide individual guidance and encouragement.
Help in organizing exhibitions or small displays to showcase and promote women’s work.
Maintain sewing machines, training materials, and tools in good working condition.
Submit training reports and feedback to the project supervisor on time.
Minimum 12th grade (high school graduate).
At least 1–2 years of experience in tailoring, especially in Afghan traditional clothing and handicrafts.
Basic knowledge of hand embroidery, stitching, and use of sewing machines.
Good communication skills in Pashto and Dari.
Experience in working with women or community-based training programs is preferred.
Friendly, patient, and able to teach women with different skill levels.
Willingness to work in local training centers or field locations.
