Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

• Responsible for planning, implementation, supervision, and monitoring of the pharmaceutical activities of CHA health-related provinces.
•Institutionalize a system for Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Management (PSCM) in the targeted provinces.
• Responsible for quality checks and control of essential drugs, medical consumables, lab reagents, and equipment purchased (having quality control, COPP, and GMP certificates)
• To prepare drug orders in collaboration with project managers and take part in drug review and purchasing committees.
• Prepare accurate and complete filing systems for all procurement activities to ensure transparency and accountability.
• To check and control the quality and quantity of all procured medicine and medical equipment according to the given specifications and samples, before transferring to provinces and health facilities
• Work with provincial pharmacy officers to solve issues related to the procurement of materials, works, and services.
• Ensure safe, clean, and proper storage of all medicine and other medical equipment within the central and provincial stocks • Coordinate with logistics in relation to the reception and delivery of goods, ensuring CHA procurement and logistical rules and regulations are applied.
• Work together with others members of the technical department to estimate drugs needed for implementation of Basic Package of Health Services (BPHS) and EPHS in all facilities, based on standard guidelines, and prepare final quarterly drug requests for approval.
• Regular follow-up of RUD implementation through assessment and follow-up tools at the HFs level in the targeted provinces.
• Prepare and conduct regular field monitoring plans in terms of pharmacy-related activities’ progress.
• Ensure that all pharmacy reporting and recording standard formats availability in all HFs and Sub Office levels.
• To ensure submission of monthly pharmacy consumption report from all HFs to the sub-office on regular monthly bases.
• Ensure pharmacy databases are working well and being used normally in both sub-offices.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly pharmaceutical reports.
• Prepare monthly activities and mission reports.
• Making arrangements for pharmaceutical training.
• To provide feedback to pharmacy officers of both provinces
• To ensure that the quality of the drug is satisfactory and according to the standard drug certificates
• To ensure keeping and making a buffer of medicine and medical equipment at the provincial warehouse level
• To supply and process requests for urgent medicine and medical equipment to both provinces
• Perform any other related duty given by the line supervisor.
• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and at least 5 years of professional experience. • Experience in quality assurance activities in pharmaceutical procurement would be an added advantage.
