Health, Disability and Development Organization (HDDO) is a national nonprofit and nonpolitical organization which has been registered with Ministry of Economy  since 07 January 2020 with the aims to advocate, promote and facilitate the Economic empowerment, socioeconomic reintegration, Physical rehabilitation, provision of health, education and livelihood support to the most marginalized, hard to reach and underserved population of the Country including person with disabilities, victims of war, mine  and ERW in Afghanistan. HDDO is committed to play active role in the humanitarian response to the neediest population in the Country and at the same time to contribute in the development and reconstruction of the Country as well. The vision of HDDO is to Promote and sustain educated, prosperous, peaceful, gender and disability sensitive society, where people, especially women, disabled and youth have access to better healthcare, disability and physical rehabilitation, play a key role in inclusive and sustainable development and to make sure that every and each of them is an active member in the societies. The HDDO main principle is the community based inclusive approaches is to involve local communities and the target group in the design, implementation and monitoring of the project and that is why HDDO is fully relying on local resources and local capacity in the targeted communities.

Job Description:

2 Assessors/distributors will be hired for this project to carry out tasks such as data collection, assisting with surveys, filling survey forms, compiling and managing survey forms, ensuring that the survey is done as per the selection criteria, promote awareness on RCCE and AAP and CFM of HDDO among the communities, distribute the In-kind food items/packages during the distribution, and assisting the households to receive their assistance packages

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct meeting with the selected communities, stakeholders and relevant government representatives and mobilize and orient them on the project components,
  • Facilitate the verification process of the identified beneficiaries and develop a final list of beneficiaries,
  • Regarding the COVID-19 measures ensure proper-crowed control and social distancing among the beneficiaries,
  • Take required preparation for the assessment of vulnerable families in the targeted areas.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessment with the relevant parties/ unit to identify the vulnerable households for food assistance.
  • Provide complete data and reports of the selected eligible families for in-kind food assistance.
  • Design and print food tokens for food distribution for selected beneficiaries based on FSAC and AHF policy.
  • Preparing food distribution plans and take the necessary approvals from various units including the district coordinator, project manager, security focal point, and submitting to the data entry department for record.
  • Coordinate closely with the district coordinator and project manager to ensure timely implementation of the project activities and get readiness for timely distribution of food for the target beneficiaries.
  • Ensure that all distribution processes and activities are in line with FSAC-RCCE-AHF-AYSO endorsed SOPs and procedures.
  • Ensure that proper community development practices and “Do No Harm” practices are incorporated and upheld throughout the implementation of the project.
  • Provide regular updates to the project Manager and other senior staff of HDDO  on all project activities including beneficiary selection, verification, and food distribution.
  • Conduct coordination meetings with community elders and line departments for project implementation.
  • Maintain excellent working relations with project stakeholders, partners, and other contractors.
  • Coordinate closely with the district coordinator and project manager to ensure timely implementation of the project activities and get readiness for timely distribution of food
  • Hire laborers in coordination with the line supervisor and in compliance with FSAC-AHF rules and regulations.
  • Select the distribution points in coordination with the community mobilizers, community elders and line supervisors
  • Provide reports, make and maintain proper stock cards of food commodities

Perform other related tasks assigned by line manager.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, Social Science, or 12 degree Certificate with relevant experiences.

Experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of related experience in the Survey, assessments, data collection, entry and community mobilization
  • Having information about the economical context of the people in the targeted communities
  • Fluent in Pashto and Dari and English language is a additional value
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment, and to coordinate complex activities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong report writing skills, including budget management skills and work planning and monitoring
