Job Descriptions:

  1. Assist in implementing community mobilization strategies that promote gender equality, inclusive participation, and democratic decision-making in line with WASSA’s policies.
  2. Participate in the design and execution of mobilization plans, ensuring alignment with project timelines and strategic objectives.
  3. Conduct needs assessments and participatory rural appraisals (PRA) to inform beneficiary selection and community engagement.
  4. Identify target communities and mobilize both male and female groups for awareness, participation, and engagement in project activities.
  5. Prepare and deliver training sessions and educational materials for CFAC members, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
  6. Ensure effective coordination with government representatives, community leaders, and local institutions to support project implementation.
  7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement, recommending improvements to increase participation and impact.
  8. Support program operations, including field activities, surveys, and beneficiary verification, in compliance with WASSA’s operational procedures.
  9. Verify and authenticate beneficiaries during cash/food distribution, including identity checks, fingerprinting, and collection of National ID copies.
  10. Ensure distribution lists are accurately completed, signed by required stakeholders (including donors), and submitted in a clean and timely manner.
  11. Digitalize beneficiary records, scan and file distribution lists, and maintain proper documentation in line with data protection policies.
  12. Ensure smooth and orderly distribution processes, prioritizing vulnerable groups such as elderly people, women, and persons with disabilities.
  13. Manage distribution sites, including setup, crowd control, and coordination of logistics and beneficiary flow.
  14. Support volunteer recruitment, assessment, and training, contributing to the capacity-building efforts of CFAC members.
  15. Uphold WASSA’s code of conduct, administrative and security protocols, and maintain professionalism in all field interactions.
  16. Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager, ensuring responsiveness and flexibility to the dynamic field environment.
  17. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree with minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the related field.
  • Excellent Dari, Pashto and Basic English language skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer office applications and email.
  • Ability to regularly travel to the project sites for doing field work.
  • Should be familiar with the area’s culture, traditions and its sensitivities.
  • Experience in working with and coordinating with INGOs and other stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal, intercultural and communication skills.
  • Able to provide clear and brief written reports.
