Job Descriptions:

Responsibilities:

  • Performs welding work required for broken parts and new fabrication as required by the department. Assists HVAC Technician in routine and breakdown maintenance of any mechanical instrument in the hospital.
  • Incinerate the solid waste received from different areas of hospital by housekeepers. Fabricate GI sheet for ducting system.
  • Inspects systems and their components (e.g. water pumps, water pressure tank, boiler machine, oxygen generator, medical air machine, vacuum machine, Air handling unit, Ultra filtration, softener, Fan coil unit, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safety and identifying necessary repairs and providing an ongoing program of preventive maintenance.
  • Perform plumbing work including fixing of broken mechanical parts sanitary blockages and air handling lines.
  • Perform daily cleaning of filters and other daily maintainable parts in air handling units (MER's) under supervision of supervisor mechanical.
  • Daily storage of city water in the storage tanks and cleaning of storage and other reservoirs in the hospital.
  • Ensure the functionality of medical air plant under supervision of mechanical and plumbing supervisor.
  • Refilling of medical gas and air cylinders and attaché to the system when required.
  • Connection of water line to any area of the hospital.
  • Correction of the leakage pipes.
  • Troubleshoot of the valves in case of any problem repair of replaced Installation of fire hydrant pipes.

  • Plumbing Systems and Tools.
  • Water supply systems (hot and cold)
  • Drainage, waste, and vent systems
  • Pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures
  • Plumbing tools and equipment (pipe cutters, wrenches, soldering tools)
  • Honest, hard worker and team worker.
  • Good communication skills (Preference will be given to English speaking).

Building and Safety Codes:

  • Local, state, and national plumbing codes
  • Occupational health and safety regulations
  • Environmental regulations (e.g. water conservation)
  • Understanding of pump systems and backflow prevention
