Today, Afghanistan Conciliation Trust (TACT) is an impartial, non-profit national NGO/CSO committed to serving the Afghan people. It operates independently of linguistic, ethnic, tribal, religious, or political affiliations. Established in 2010 by a dedicated group of professionals and intellectuals, TACT has a longstanding history of advancing education, healthcare, and humanitarian support throughout Afghanistan.

With funding from the UNOCHA Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund (AHF), TACT is implementing a project to provide essential psychosocial and well-being services to returnees, internally displaced persons, women, and children in four targeted districts of Logar and Paktika provinces.

Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:

The Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) Facilitator supports the well-being and protection of children affected by emergencies or vulnerable circumstances. The Facilitator will create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play, learn, and regain a sense of normalcy, while ensuring their protection and rights are upheld.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the daily activities within Child Friendly Spaces, ensuring they are engaging, age-appropriate, and inclusive.
  • Provide a safe and protective environment for children, monitoring for any signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  • Support children’s psychosocial well-being through play, group activities, and emotional support.
  • Respect and promote the rights of children, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are prioritized.
  • Collaborate with community members and other stakeholders to promote child protection and positive participation.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and activity reports.
  • Identify children in need of additional support or protection and refer them to specialized services as appropriate.
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards at all times.
  • Participate in training and capacity-building activities related to child protection and first aid.
  • Follow project policies, safety procedures, and reporting protocols.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Graduated from 14th grade or higher education is preferred
  • Have a minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in the relevant field, preferably in NGOs.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in Dari/Pashto -oral and written skills
  • Have experience working effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office.
