Afghan Social Welfare Development Organization (ASWDO) is a local non-government, non-political and non-partisan organization, founded in 2009. ASWDO endeavors to empower and improve the quality of life of the marginalized and vulnerable communities of Afghanistan in the least developed parts of the country through welfare, participatory research and development, capacity building, promotion of best practices and partnership building, advocacy, and by launching sustainable and replicable innovative projects.
Afghan Social Welfare Development Organization (ASWDO) is seeking a passionate Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Team Leader to join our team for ongoing projects. The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of program activities. This role is essential for tracking progress, measuring outcomes, and ensuring the quality and impact of our interventions.
Duties and Responsibilities
The M&E Team Leader will be responsible for the following:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
· Lead and manage the monitoring and evaluation team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
· Set clear objectives and performance targets, and conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure the team's success.
· Foster a collaborative and positive working environment, encouraging creativity and innovation among team members.
2. Project Planning and Implementation:
· Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plans for projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
· Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify key performance indicators and data collection methods.
· Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and propose corrective actions to achieve project objectives effectively.
3. Data Collection and Analysis:
· Design and oversee data collection processes, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and relevance.
· Utilize data analysis techniques to interpret findings and generate actionable insights to improve project outcomes.
· Implement data quality control measures and verify the integrity of data collected from various sources.
4. Reporting and Communication:
· Prepare timely and accurate reports on project progress, results, and impact for internal and external stakeholders.
· Present findings in a clear and concise manner, using data visualization tools such as Power BI to enhance understanding.
· Collaborate with the communications team to disseminate project achievements and learning through various channels.
5. Capacity Building and Training:
· Identify training needs within the monitoring and evaluation team and develop capacity-building programs to enhance skills.
· Conduct workshops and training sessions on monitoring and evaluation methodologies and best practices.
