Since 2002, AWEC has collaborated with women and communities to enhance access to education, health, and vocational services in Afghanistan. Our initiatives extend to livelihood improvement, protection, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), humanitarian aid, grant management, capacity building, social rehabilitation, cohesion, and justice. AWEC has successfully implemented projects in Logar, Faryab, Kapisa, Khost, Panjshir, Wardak, Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Badakhshan, Parwan, Paktia, Paktika, Laghman, Nuristan, and Bamyan provinces, maintaining an active presence in Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Badakhshan, Parwan, Paktia, Paktika, Laghman, Nuristan, and Bamyan.

Job Descriptions:

The Case Workers will provide individual case management services, including registration, referrals, and follow-ups, ensuring that protection concerns and related cases are addressed in a safe and confidential manner. They will also assist in linking beneficiaries to essential services such as health, legal aid, and psychosocial support.

Responsibilities:

Conduct intake, assessment, and case planning for vulnerable individuals in line with case management standards.

Develop individual care/action plans with clients, including goals and follow-up steps.

Facilitate safe and timely referrals to specialized service providers (health, legal, shelter, livelihoods, etc.).

Follow up regularly with clients to monitor progress and adjust care plans as needed.

Document all cases in a safe and confidential manner, ensuring data protection and ethical standards.

Maintain updated records, case notes, and contribute to case conferences when required.

Conduct awareness-raising sessions with communities on protection concerns, rights, and available services.

Identify trends, challenges, and risks affecting clients and report to the supervisor for response planning.

Participate in capacity-building trainings, team meetings, and supervision sessions.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

A Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Law, and/ or a related field.

A Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in case management, counseling, social work, or protection services.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong understanding of case management principles, protection standards, and referral pathways.

Good communication and active listening skills; ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

Demonstrated respect for confidentiality, empathy, and professionalism.

Fluency in Pashto and Dari; English is an asset.

Ability to work independently, manage complex cases, and handle sensitive situations.
