Job Descriptions:

To provide high-quality instruction in computer skills to students, focusing on essential applications such as Microsoft Office and digital literacy. The teacher will enhance students' proficiency in using technology effectively, preparing them for academic success and future career opportunities. This role is vital for fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students can develop their digital skills confidently.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct computer classes according to the ASTA project curriculum at designated locations.
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for computer education.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality education that meets organizational standards.
  • Distribute educational materials and resources to students in a timely manner.
  • Create a safe and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and exploration of technology.
  • Maintain regular communication with the provincial coordinator and report any concerns or challenges.
  • Monitor and maintain student attendance, homework, and practical assignments.
  • Regularly assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and practical projects.

Provide constructive feedback and support to facilitate student growth and confidence in technology use.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 3 years as a computer teacher, preferably with adolescents.
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for education and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students, especially marginalized and disabled students.
