Job Descriptions:

 Attending work in accordance with the clinic's formalities.

• Preparing a monthly work plan at the beginning of each month.

• Measuring the weight, height, and mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) of children.

• Interpreting the nutritional status of children based on anthropometry and charting their growth on a card.

• Providing appropriate nutritional advice to mothers based on the child's nutritional status as shown on the card, aimed at improving the child's nutrition.

 

• Offering necessary nutritional counseling to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, ensuring they receive adequate iron and folic acid supplements (30 tablets per month).

• Referring malnourished children identified during screening to the clinic doctor (ensuring they visit the doctor).

• Informing mothers about the next appointment and emphasizing the importance of follow-up.

• Registering children in the growth and development register.

• Coordinating with the community health supervisor regarding local plans and tracking children who are not growing properly.

• Attending community health volunteers’ meetings according to the plan.

• Preparing a monthly activity report at the end of each month.

• Referring pregnant and breastfeeding women with advanced breast conditions or other gynecological issues.

• Referring children to the vaccination department.

 

• Providing health education based on the clinic's monthly plan.

• Participating in the clinic’s monthly health council meetings.

• Participating in the monthly community health volunteers' meetings.

• Actively attending clinic meetings.

• Strictly following the organization's guidelines and regulations.

• Adhering to Islamic laws.

Job Requirements:

 

  • Qualified Public Health, Nurse or Midwife with experience in Nutrition and training activities.
  • 1-2 years of experience in health and nutrition project implementation and design.
  • Expert in community mobilization and coordination to increase community participation.
  • Experienced in designing behavior change communication (health) for improving the nutritional status of the child and childbearing age women.
  • Enthusiasm to travel to locations within a region – and to other regions for training sessions
  • Ability to communicate effectively in local languages both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to speak and write the English language.
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy computer literature
  • Self-motivated possessing persuasion skills ability to maintain relationship and able to work on own initiative.
