Job Descriptions:

The Education Trainer, reporting directly to the ECW Project Coordinator, will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the Education Can't Wait project in Sarepol Province. The role involves designing, planning, and conducting training sessions, developing training curriculums, and actively engaging in community-based education initiatives, particularly in Community-Based Education (CBE). The Education Trainer will also liaise with relevant government authorities such as the Provincial Education Department (PED) and District Education Department (DED) to ensure alignment with national education goals.

  • Assist Project Coordinator in training need assessment, designing, and implementing the training work plans for CBE Teachers.
  • Developing Training need assessments and comprehensive Training plan in line with the Project goals and objectives?
  • Deliver high quality training workshops.
  • Support in the capacity building of participant in close coordination with the parents, school teachers, PED/DED, and community members.
  • Closely communicate with Project Coordinator regularly
  • Prepare a monthly report and collect stories of beneficiaries that demonstrate the impact of the program.
  • Assist the Project Coordinator in the development of training work plans, procurement of training stationeries and materials
  • To carry out visits of ECW CB classes
  • Assist the MEAL Officer in the process of project training data collections and data management.
  • Identify training gaps/needs, and or areas of improvements - document best practices and lessons learnt. 
  • Assist the Project coordinator in producing of training reports, quarterly project progress reports to meet donor reporting schedule
  • Lead the development of training work plans, procurement of training stationaries and materials (training manual and handouts)
  • Ensure high quality training workshop have significantly contributed to training and development of EiE as well.
  • Supervise the work of ECW CBE and ALP teachers/mentors and or facilitators and assist them in the delivery of program work plan.
  • Develop the annual training plan for ECW project.
  • Any other task given by the line manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 3 years in a relevant role and a total of 2 years of general experience in the community.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering educational training programs (pedagogy, PSS/BLP).
  • Familiarity with community-based education initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly in the local languages (Dari/Pashtu).
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English.
  • Proficiency in generating comprehensive reports with qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure programs are completed within scheduled timelines.
  • Ability to organize and conduct seminars and workshops for teacher and staff development.
  • Ability to work under pressure with honesty and responsibility.
