Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs on monitoring and evaluation (M&E) practices and tools. This role will work closely with program manager, and stakeholders to build the capacity of staff and partners in effective monitoring, evaluation, and data utilization. The Trainer will leverage their expertise in M&E to ensure training participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to implement robust M&E systems for projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify capacity gaps and training requirements related to M&E
  • Design and develop tailored training curriculam, materials, and activities on M&E topics such as:
    • Developing monitoring plans and frameworks
    • fundamentals of M & E.
    • Advanced M&E concepts and terms.
    • Developing and implementing M&E frameworks.
    • Designing indicators for outputs, outcomes, and impacts) and with a focus on proposals.
    • Developing Indicators Performance Tracking Table (IPTT) for projects.
    • Compliance with donor requirements for M&E.
    • Tools and techniques for effective M&E.
  • Deliver high-quality in-person, virtual, and blended training sessions to a variety of audiences, including program staff, M&E specialists, and partners.
  • Facilitate interactive learning experiences that encourage participant engagement and application of M&E concepts.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring support to training participants to reinforce learning and ensure effective M&E practice
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, and use feedback to continuously improve curriculum and delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest M&E methodologies, tools, and best practices, and incorporate new learning into training materials.
  • Collaborate with M&E experts, program teams, and other stakeholders to ensure training is aligned with organizational goals and donor requirements

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, with a strong background in training and capacity building.
  • In-depth knowledge of M&E principles, frameworks, tools, and data management systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex M&E concepts into accessible and practical learning.
  • Experience working in the international development or social impact sectors, with exposure to different cultural contexts.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Proficient in the use of various training technologies and platforms.
  • Master Degree in Business Administration, Social Science, and program management or Related Field,  Ph.D will be preferred.
