Job Descriptions:

  1. Supervision and Management of Computer Lab:
    • Oversee the overall management and daily operations of the Computer Lab, ensuring it provides a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.
    • Ensure that all activities are conducted to prioritize the dignity and well-being of those accessing services.
    • Supervise and support a team of computer tutors and facilitators to ensure the effective delivery of digital literacy and soft skills programs.
    • Coordinate the scheduling and execution of programs to ensure timely and efficient service provision for all participants.
  2. Program Coordination and Service Delivery:
    • Oversee the delivery of digital education and literacy programs, ensuring adolescents and community members gain valuable skills and knowledge.
    • Develop and implement life skills programs for adolescents, focusing on areas such as leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and emotional resilience.
  3. Staff Supervision and Capacity Building:
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Computer Lab team, including computer lab facilitators.
    • Ensure that staff members are trained in best practices for digital education and soft skills development.
  4. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
    • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation tools to track participation and outcomes of Computer Lab activities.
    • Ensure accurate data collection and reporting on all activities, including participant engagement and feedback from the community.
    • Prepare regular reports for ADWSO management, detailing progress, challenges, and recommendations for program improvements.
  5. Community Outreach and Engagement:
    • Conduct community outreach to promote the Computer Lab as a valuable resource for digital education and soft skills development.
    • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and service providers to enhance referral pathways and service delivery.
    • Advocate for the importance of digital literacy and soft skills in local meetings and events, encouraging community support for the Computer Lab’s initiatives.
  6. Coordination with Stakeholders:
    • Collaborate with local educational and community service providers to ensure participants have access to additional resources and support.
    • Work closely with ADWSO’s teams to align Computer Lab activities with broader organizational goals and objectives.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in managing or supervising digital education or soft skills programs, preferably within the context of Afghanistan.
  • Proven track record in team leadership, capacity building, and staff supervision.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and support a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with community members and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of digital education principles and soft skills development.
  • Proficiency in computer tools and platforms, with experience in managing computer education programs.
  • Strong report writing and data management skills, with experience in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto, with strong English communication skills (both written and spoken).

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to field sites and remote areas in Balkh, Badakhshan, and other project locations as required.
  • Commitment to ADWSO’s mission of promoting digital literacy, skill development, and the empowerment of vulnerable populations in Afghanistan.
