Created in 1993, Acted is an international non-governmental organization pursuing a dual mandate of emergency response and development interventions in 40 of some of the world’s most vulnerable countries affected by conflicts, disasters, or socio-economic hardship. With a team of 7,000 national staff and 400 international staff, Acted implements 500 projects a year to support more than 20 million beneficiaries, notably in hard-to-reach areas.

Acted Afghanistan:

Acted is working in 20 provinces in Afghanistan around the country. These provinces are affected by natural and man-made disasters. Acted provides relief and emergency assistance to vulnerable populations affected by displacements, conflicts, or natural disasters, in the fields of agriculture, shelter, wash, and food security.

Job Purpose:

• Respect existing financial procedures and send all accounting documents to country office.
• Follow up financial indicators of ACTED projects
• Help the country office to have a clear vision of the area’s financial situation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Budget Control:

• Accountable of his area accountancy
• Follow up of financial and accountancy procedures of ACTED (Country);
• Accountable of efficient flow of financial and accountancy information to country finance;
• Financial accountability of his area’s project;

Cost Control:

• Ensures that all resources of his area is allocated on the project;
• Ensures that the running cost of his area is not raising up from the standard norms;
• Ensures that non allocated resources are not used on any project, unless an approval is given by the Country Finance Manager;

Internal Control:

• Documentation management in the area  level;
• Accountable of procurement documentation;

• BBA or certified accounting diploma.
• 3 years financial/administrative background/experience of none-profit organization.
• Accounting software familiarities (quick book) or relevant accounting software.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, advance MS excel skills.
• Good communication skill.
• Ability to write reporting in English.
