About MMRCA:

Background Information:

The Medical Management and Research Courses for Afghanistan (MMRCA) is a national, non-for profit, non-political, humanitarian organization established in March 2008 by Afghan Health Professionals and is registered as an NGO with the ministry of economy (MoE) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan

MMRCA has been implemented SEHAT-II, SEHAT-III and SEHATMANDI (BPHS+EPHS) Projects in Ghazni, Badghis and Faryab provinces. Currently MMRCA has been awarded the Health Emergency Response Projects Badghis, Samangan and Sar- e-Pul since 1st February 2023 and will continue until 29st Feb2024 for Badghis province and until 31th March 2025 for Samangan and Sar-e-Pol provinces.

Through HER Samangan project MMRCA has been providing quality health services to the entire population of the province according to BPHS and EPHS guidelines and MoPH policies/ strategies.  These services are providing through 3 DHs, 4 CHCs, 14 BHCs, 21 Sub-centers, 1MHT and prison health center, Similarly, Sar-e-Pul has a total of 71 HFs including 3-DHs, 9 CHCs, 20 BHCs, 32 PHCs, one MHT, 5 FHHs and one Prison Health Center.

MMRCA invites and encourage eligible candidates to apply for the position of PHC/SHC Manager/Lead located at Sar-e-Pol province and required travels to all HFs in enter the province.

Job Descriptions:

  • Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation of quality health programs and ensure that program goals, objectives, targets, and activities are met.
  • Prepare program implementation plans in coordination with technical management team for all departments like, technical, procurement/logistic, administrative, finance, transport, security and etc.
  • Conduct regular (weekly, monthly) supervision/monitoring visits to the various project sites, ensuring that projects utilize standardized protocols, policies and guidelines, as outlined by the Ministry of Public Health. Identify technical quality and/or other implementation issues and provide solutions and follow-up to ensure projects are on track to meet goals and are consistent with established best practices.
  • Ensure that the health program is implemented in line with the MMRCA principles and policies (procurement, logistic, HR, finance, and etc):  promoting and protecting rights, participation, capacity building, partnership and holistic programming.
  • Strictly follow up the medical and operational supply chain system, stock recording, timely ordering for the supplies and accountabilities with pharmacy team
  • Work with finance to provide accurate and timely costing plans, cash forecasts as well regular monthly base review.
  • Represent MMRCA in all health and nutrition related forums in regional and provincial levels, including health cluster, nutrition cluster and any other related working group.
  • Attend quarterly and monthly coordination meeting at provincial and country offices level.
  • Work closely with HMIS/M&E team, for data collection, analysis and ensure data quality.
  • Ensure all KPIs and other project deliverable are followed up with the relevant departments, HFs, hospital, and the set targets are achieved,
  • Represent the organization and the project in meetings with MoPH technical departments, UNICEF, WHO, PHD and other stakeholders in the national, regional and provincial level
  • Ensure for proper and standard filling system both hard and soft in project office and kept regular update accordingly
  • Regular follow up with project management team regarding HER project components and deliverables like GRM, PESA, EES, and etc.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • MD/MPH degree from a recognized University
  • Management and leadership, HMIS, Report writing, Supervision and Monitoring
  • 15 years of experience in Health Programs Management in developing countries
  • Committed and honest to work hard, have good communication skills, having analytical skills, leadership skills, team building and playing skill.
  •  Fluent in English and local language
