Job Descriptions:

Scope of Work:
The Nutrition Promoter master trainer will conduct CBNP TOT to the Community Health
Supervisors (CHSs), and CBNP refresher to the Community Health Workers (CHWs), and
Community Health Volunteers (CHV), being prime responsible and ensuring effective and
efficient management of training, provision of support to the CHSs/CHWs, supportive
supervision of CBNP, MMP, and C-WIFS and Community Engagement activities at the Health
Post level, reporting, and coordination of program activities as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
 Develop training plan in coordination with the project manager/coordinator and finance
team and other relevant departments to ensure timely availability of resources for
conducting the planned activities.
 Attend a 3-day ToT of Nutrition Promotion training at the regional/provincial level.
 Conduct Training of Nutrition Mobilization Team (NMT) at the provincial level based on
the CBNP manual.
 Excellent communication and presentation skills in Persian, and Pashtu.
 Good skills in writing specifically reports.
 Conduct refresher training for CHWs at the provincial level based on the CBNP training
manual and Community Engagement for promoting nutrition and WASH good practices.
 Support the capacity building of relevant stakeholders including the DoPH at the
provincial level on CBNP manual.
 Facilitate the cross-learning between CBNP and other projects of AYSO and take part in
knowledge-sharing events.
 Develop Grandmothers Groups training & Community Engagement Plan in close
coordination with relevant Extenders.
 Conduct regular supportive supervision from the CHS/HPs and Grandmother Groups
Trainings, activities and provide them technical support.
 Prepare regular reports on program activities including nutrition and hygiene promotion
for internal management purposes.

 Assist the project team in the assessment of the implementation process of the
community nutrition plan.
 Perform any other task as assigned by the Provincial Project Manager.
 Active participation in the relevant meetings at the central and provincial levels.
 Risk analysis of the overall project implementation and reports to the project
manager/coordinator and managing director (H&N).
 To work closely in proper closeout of the projects

Job Requirements:

The Nutrition Promotion master trainer must hold Male/Female MD, Public Health or Nurse with
relevant experience, and Female MD or Midwife with relevant experience with preferred public
health-relevant short and mid-term courses. He/She should have full knowledge of nutrition
SOPs, especially CBNP guidelines. He/She should have teaching, reporting, and coordination
skills. He/She must already has received MIYCN and CBNP ToT training along with at least a
year working experience in MIYCN/CBNP training package with national or international
organizations and He/She must already receive SBC training and have related experience as
well.
Familiar with reporting, data collection, data analysis, data interpretation. Fluent in speaking and
writing Pushto, Dari and good in English. He/She should have the ability to travel the very
remoted districts and villages of the provinces. Be a couple or with muharam.
Candidates with holding MD degree and with aforementioned conditions are highly preferred
given choice.
