About Developmen in Education and Literacy Organization:

Development in Education and Literacy Organization (DELO) is a non-profit women-led organization registered in Afghanistan. Since operations began in the early 2015, DELO has gradually evolved into long-term education development organization. DELO Afghanistan works primarily in the area of education, teacher training, women empowerment and childprotection. DELO Afghanistan has a full-fledged office and a team of professionals in Kabul.

Job Descriptions:

  1. Coordinating, and conducting rapid needs assessments at field level using standard Kobo Tools and other indorsed/approved tools.
  2. Establish Beneficiary Selection Committee (BSC) composed of community representatives (Shura), district authorities, DoRR, humanitarian partners, Delo Staff, including vulnerable groups (women and people living with disabilities) in the target locations.
  3. Carry out household surveys/assessments and conduct Beneficiary identification and selection processes according to the pre-defined criteria.
  4. Collect data and information about the needs of the target areas.
  5. Supporting M&E team by collecting data and information for further analysis and reporting.
  6. Take care of data, data entry, beneficiary’s database, and making sure that the data of the beneficiaries’ database, kobo and tokens are the same and matching with each other.
  7. Properly coordinate with relevant government departments, key stakeholders, target communities, beneficiaries, and local authorities.
  8. Involve Community Representatives throughout the process of assessment and project implementation.
  9. Conduct baseline surveys on the community, develop and implement a community mobilization plan.
  10. Provide report and findings of the survey to main office for data analysis and future uses.
  11. Visit and monitor the community kitchen and collect data and verify the beneficiaries and food distribution in 12 communities in the Shahrishtan district of Daikundi province.
  12. Keep update data proper documentation filing and reporting to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
  13. Plan and implement community awareness raising, needs assessment survey and beneficiaries screening and selection for the project activities and technical training and inputs.
  14. Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports and submit them to the Project Manager.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor social sciences, law, livelihood and administrative faculty.
  2. At least 3-year relevant experience in field implementation, mobilization, working with communities and carrying out assessments.
  3. Knowledge of data collection and management via Kobo Toolbox.
  4. Good English, Dari and Pashto communication skill and computer skills.
  5. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Has the ability to produce basic reports.
  7. Good knowledge of MS Office Package (Word and Excel).
  8. Willingness to travel to hard-to-reach areas and project sites.
  9. Familiar with local languages.
  10. Familiar with local traditions and customs.
  11. Preference will be given to the resident of Shahristan district.
