CRS began direct operations in Afghanistan in early 2002. CRS maintains four main offices throughout the country: Kabul, Herat, Chaghcharan, and Bamiyan, with sub-offices in all these provinces as well as Daikundi. Project Summary:
CRS has launched AHF funded project (Lifesaving MPCA for Vulnerable Communities in Ashtarlay) to address the needs of drought affected households in Ashtarlay district, Daikundi Province. This project will support immediate household needs and food during upcoming winter months. The project will also focus on food security to enable households coping with the crisis.
Under the supervision of the Field Officer, the field assistance (3 male/ 3 female) will be responsible for direct implementation of project activities. The Field Agent will support food security and livelihood input distributions and provide awareness message for the affected people. Additionally, under the guidance of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) staff, Field Agents will lead on data collection and support with data entry as needed. Field Agent will need to work closely with external and internal stakeholders including local government departments, communities, CRS Project Officers, Field Officers, CRS Administrative support, and CRS CVA Program Manager.

Internal: CVA PM, MEAL Officer, Field Officer, Head of Program, HoO, HRD TA and operation staff
External: Project Participants, Community Leaders, and other Community Members.
Required Languages – Fluent Dari (reading, writing, and verbal skills).
Travel – Willingness to travel to remote communities at least 5 days a week in Ashtarlay and other districts of Daikundi. And possible travel to Bamiyan, Ghor, Herat and Daikundi provinces
CRS is committed to providing daily allowances for mahram who accompany female staff on day trips to the field, and per diem and accommodation for mahram who accompany female staff on work-related trips that require overnight stays.
