About DAARTT:

DAARTT (Danish Assistance to Afghan Rehabilitation and Technical Training) is a Danish based organization established in Afghanistan by the Danish People’s Aid (DPA) in 2003.

The organization is specialized in construction and has so far built more than 200 schools, clinics and other buildings in Afghanistan. DAARTT is also engaged in humanitarian and development activities supporting the most vulnerable groups/population of the country. DAARTT got and maintains membership with ACBAR and several technical clusters; such as WASH, Education, ES/NFI and Health clusters.

Job Descriptions:

  1. Awareness raising about Protection, GBV and PSEA: The focal point will ensure that the awareness level of the DAARTT staff and BSC members is improved at all levels. Various means such as workshops, staff training, development of educational materials and inter-agency coordination will be used to achieve this objective.
  2. Coordination: Establish close coordination with concerned working groups (GBV, Protection, Disability, PSEA etc) at national & sub-national levels.
  3. Referral Mechanism: The Focal Point will establish referral mechanism where passible - at various levels.
  4. Identification of cases: The Focal Point will work with field teams in identification of GBV/PSEA victim families in order to receive humanitarian assistance. Also report GBV and Protection related cases including child protection cases.
  5. Reporting: The focal point will be reporting identified cases to technical working groups and other organizations engaged in similar activities – where possible.
  6. Boosting organizational capacity: The focal point will be actively engaged to enhance organizational capacity regarding GBV/Protection Principles. The Focal Point will be seeking guidance from the WG. - include GBV/Protection principles.
  7. Promoting GBV concept in M&E: The focal point will ensure that the GBV/Protection Concept is integrated in the M&E framework and reporting.

Job Requirements:

  1. Graduated from a recognized University (bachelor’s degree in law, Human Rights or Social Science).
  2. At least 3 years relevant proven experience in a similar role, particularly in GBV/Protection management within humanitarian or development organizations.
  3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training facilitation skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Knowledge and understanding of humanitarian principles.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Knowledge of using Kobo Toolbox.
  9. Good English and computer skills.
  10. Has the ability to produce basic reports.
  11. Good knowledge of MS Office Package (Word, PPT and Excel).
  12. Willingness to travel to hard-to-reach areas and project sites.
  13. Familiar with local languages.
  14. Familiar with local traditions and customs.
