Afghan Youth Services Organization (AYSO) is a National Afghan NGO registered in 2006 with the MoEc of Afghanistan with registration No:397.AYSO since came into being has developed, successfully implemented, and provided direct assistance services in different   sectors such as health, educational, Food Security,  Capacity building, GBV Prevention and Response, Peace, Justice Research, and Surveys human rights and awareness projects and programs with the technical and financial support of several UN Agencies such as UNDP,UNFPA, UNICEF, WFP, and WHO, AYSO has implemented projects with government ministries and departments as well as has been being implementing partner with AAH/USAID, FHI, BARC, AADA,HEWAD, and other National and International Organization.

Job Descriptions:

Scope of Work:

The CBNP Project Manager will be the overall responsible project planning, monitoring & supervision, coordination, and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for CBNP Implementation (planning, monitoring & supervision, coordination, deliverables, and reporting.
  • Develop project operation plan, and support project staff in planning and implementation.
  • Coordinate project plan activities at head office level (Technical, Financial and logistic) for achieving projects goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate project activities with the BPHS implementing NGO, PPHD and donor
  • Supervise and provide support to the CBNP master trainers, PPHD, BPHS implementing NGO relevant staff, and CHSs of HFs.
  • Compiling projects reports and deliverables in line with AYSO /MoPH and donor requirements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports to be submitted to the Program and donors.
  • Oversee the technical activities and provide necessary recommendations.
  • Conduct field monitoring and supervision to ensure quality service deliver is provided
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, Dari and Pashtu.
  • Good skills in writing specifically reports and in the contribution of proposals
  • Active participation in the training course of a community-based nutrition program and monitoring the progress of activities.
  • Ensure having the updated training tools including the latest validated version done by MoPH (PND)
  • Conflict resolution among staff if.
  • Risk analysis of the overall projects and reports to the Nutrition Grant Coordinator and managing director (H&N).
  • Participate in project-related meetings and workshops/seminars.
  • Make sure that the Organization’s policies, guidelines, procedures and manuals regarding the project and staffs are implemented.

Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:

The CBNP project manager must hold MD, preferably MPH as well as Public health-relevant short and mid-term courses. He should have full knowledge of nutrition SOPs/guidelines, CBNP, MIYCN with at least three years of working experience in the fields of public nutrition. He/She should have good knowledge and understanding of management, donor requirements, report writing, and coordination. The CBNP Project Manager will be responsible for the management, implementation, training, and reporting of nutrition projects.
