Summary of Key Functions
- Conduct regular field visit of activities and feed information to the Provincial manager & MEAL team for improvement of activity implementation and provide feedback to the concerned project/field supervisor on overall activities;
- Project M&R requirements are will be addressed by the project staff in the field
- MEAL Dept and Project Manager and concerned bodies are informed of critical issues that affect project implementation
- Ensure proper M&R system is applied at the provincial level as per the donor requirement
- At Kabul main office, MEAL Dept is provided with qualitative and quantitative data from province
- M&R system in place at the field level are responsive to communication with government and other stakeholders at provincial level
- M&R system is used to ensure project target for that specific province is on-track
- Data collection tools are used to provide accurate and timely information on project indicators and other information needs
Job Responsibilities:
Provide field visits to targeted provinces for monitoring, verification and evaluating progress towards achieving the USIAD funding project.
- Conduct regular field visit of activities and feed information to the MEL officer, MEAL team and M&E specialist for improvement of activity implementation and provide feedback to the concerned field supervisor on overall activities;
- Project M&R requirements are will addressed by the project staff in the field
- MEAL Dept and M&E specialist, CoP and concerned bodies are informed of critical issues that affect project implementation
- Ensure proper M&R system is applied at the provincial level
Undertake data management of the project and support Project in periodic and progress report.
- Report weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual progress and ad hoc reports on all data analysis of monitoring of the AIYA project activities to the Field/Project supervisor, M&E Specialist and & MEAL Manager in MEAL department;
- Develop monitoring and data collection plan in consultation with MEL Officer, M&E Specialist and project relevant personnel and conduct monitoring visits to the AIYA project target areas.
- Collect project results data to feed in communication with project stakeholders
- Assist in data entry in case of need & ensure effective data management for the project.
- Prepare and maintain data base and trackers effectively.
- Data collection tools are used to provide accurate and timely information on project indicators and other information needs
- Data on results of the project collected and reflected regularly in tools such as reports, stories, photos…etc.
- The project results are reflected in publications at the provincial level and other publications that are deemed necessary in HQ and in donor publications.
- Project reports are prepared and submitted as per donor and CARE requirements
- Make sure other donor M&E requirements (such as third party monitoring) are followed with due diligence.
Support MEAL Dept in capturing lessons learned, provision of M&R support to program and keeping project records
- Lead on MEL aspects of the AIYA project at the provincial level
- Oversee overall M&R issue of the project and ensure the M&R requirement set by MEAL Dept are met at the provincial level
- Create and maintain data filing system for the project
- Provide trainings to program teams on program activity monitoring and reporting;
- Assist MEALteam in Lead/participate/plan/manage project assessments including baseline, end-line, BNF selection and need assessment related to the project.
- Generate lessons learned from the project and advise/consult project team including Knowledge management and learning administrator on the learning captured
- Other job related tasks assigned by MEAL and in consultation with CoP, M&E Specialist /supervisor, as needed
