Job Summary

The IT Assistant will be responsible for providing first-line IT support to Ariana Medical Complex employees, ensuring the optimal operation of hardware, software, and network systems. The role involves troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining IT infrastructure, including ERP systems, printers, wireless access points, and video surveillance equipment. The IT Assistant will also train hospital staff on IT applications and maintain an up-to-date IT inventory.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line IT support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot system failures, diagnose, and resolve hardware or software problems promptly.
  • Escalate unresolved IT problems to higher-level staff for timely resolution.
  • Troubleshoot hospital ERP modules and related systems to ensure smooth operations.
  • Set up and configure new computers, printers, IP phones, and other IT equipment.
  • install and maintain CCTV cameras (indoor, outdoor, PTZ, bullet, dome), ensuring optimal coverage and placement.
  • Configure DVRs, NVRs, and IP cameras for recording and live monitoring.
  • Install, maintain, and configure wireless access points.
  • Troubleshoot issues with HP, Epson, and thermal printers.
  • Manage Active Directory, including creating and resetting user accounts and computers.
  • Configure Microsoft 365 user accounts and ensure proper functionality.
  • Maintain regular contact with ISPs to ensure allocated bandwidth is received.
  • Ensure IT system security, including data backups, antivirus protection, and access controls.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on the ERP system and other hospital applications.
  • Manage Voice over IP system.
  • Set up video conferencing systems using Microsoft Teams and other platforms as needed.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify and resolve IT needs effectively.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets.
  •  Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.

  •   Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science.
  •   1-2 years in IT support or a related role (preferably in a healthcare centre).
