Based in Kabul, Afghanistan, RRAA delivers humanitarian services across sectors such as Livelihood, Good Governance, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and Emergency Response through regional offices in Mazar, Herat, Jalalabad, and the Central Zone. RRAA’s approach focuses on decentralized service delivery to rural communities

Job Descriptions:

  1. Community Engagement and Interaction:
    • Facilitate community consultations and feedback sessions to understand local needs, concerns, and perceptions regarding humanitarian programs.
    • Act as the key contact point for community members, responding to their questions, concerns, and feedback.
    • Promote active participation and engagement of community members in program activities and feedback mechanisms.
  2. Monitoring and Feedback Collection:
    • Establish and maintain a Feedback Center where community members can provide input on program effectiveness and concerns.
    • Collect feedback and monitor community sentiment related to ongoing programs and services, documenting findings.
    • Provide regular reports to the project management team about community feedback and potential improvements.
  3. Community Outreach and Awareness:
    • Raise awareness about the Feedback Center’s role and encourage community members to provide feedback on services, including through focus groups and surveys.
    • Organize and facilitate community meetings to inform beneficiaries about their rights, program activities, and available services.
  4. Conflict Resolution and Problem-Solving:
    • Address community concerns and grievances by providing timely responses and solutions or referring them to the appropriate authorities.
    • Facilitate the resolution of community-level disputes in a transparent and culturally sensitive manner.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of community feedback, complaints, and resolutions.
    • Regularly report feedback trends and issues to project management to ensure program adaptation and improvement.
  6. Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Coordinate with program managers, field staff, and stakeholders to ensure that community feedback is integrated into project activities and decision-making.
    • Collaborate with local leaders and community groups to improve engagement strategies and enhance trust in the feedback process.
  7. Capacity Building:
    • Train community volunteers and other stakeholders on how to collect, document, and address feedback from community members.
    • Provide guidance to field staff in dealing with community feedback and ensuring proper handling of concerns.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: University degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in community engagement, feedback mechanisms, or related positions.
  • Experience in managing community feedback and grievance systems or working in humanitarian projects is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and engaging with local communities effectively.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of community-based engagement strategies and feedback mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with diverse community members.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive issues and concerns raised by community members with respect and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic data collection tools.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of local languages (Dari or Pashto) is highly preferred.

  • Willingness to travel within Daikundi Province, including to remote or insecure areas.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
