Position Summary
The Finance Officer will be responsible for handling day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and Afghanistan tax laws. The role requires strong knowledge of basic accounting, QuickBooks, and Excel.
Key Responsibilities
• Record daily financial transactions, including payments, receipts, and petty cash.
• Prepare vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents for all expenditures.
• Maintain proper filing of financial records and project-related documents.
• Support monthly cash reconciliations.
• Monitor project expenses against approved budgets.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for the project.
• Ensure tax compliance (salary tax, vendor tax, etc.) in line with Afghan law.
• Enter and update data Excel-based project trackers.
• Coordinate with the Kabul Head Office finance team for reporting and documentation.
• Support field procurement and logistics teams with financial documentation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance/accounting (field experience preferred).
• Knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop) and strong skills in MS Excel.
• Familiarity with Afghanistan tax regulations.
• Strong organizational and reporting skills.
• Good communication in English, Dari, and Pashto.
