Job Description

• Support the implementation of Voluntary Repatriation (VolRep) processing activities at designated border and reception facilities.

• Verify VolRep documentation and ensure compliance with UNHCR operational procedures and SOPs.

• Facilitate the smooth processing of returnees throughout all operational stages.

• Coordinate effectively with Registration, Protection, Border Monitoring, Transportation, and government counterparts.

• Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.

• Provide clear information and guidance to returnees regarding VolRep procedures, assistance packages, and available services.

• Ensure timely submission of operational statistics, reports, and supporting documentation.

• Assist in resolving operational challenges during daily processing activities.

• Maintain effective communication and coordination with UNHCR staff and implementing partners.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

• Support border monitoring and protection activities whenever required.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager. 

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, International Relations, or another relevant field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in refugee operations, voluntary repatriation, border management, humanitarian assistance, or project implementation.

• Previous experience with UNHCR or an international NGO is highly desirable.

• Good understanding of VolRep procedures, refugee documentation, and humanitarian operational standards.

• Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic border environment.

• Fluency in Pashto and Dari; English language skills are an advantage.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
