About Hamyar Organization For Child

Hamyar organization for child (HOC) is an internal registered NGO in Afghanistan, licensed by the Ministry of Economy. The organization designs and implements its programs based on the actual needs of local communities, with the active involvement of volunteers.
The NOG operates in Balkh and Kabul provinces, focusing on child protection, supporting children's education, primary healthcare services, and income generation assistance for vulnerable families.

Job Description

Summary:
The role of these staff members is to serve as a bridge between the project implementation team and the target communities. They play a key role in identifying and selecting eligible beneficiaries, as well as collecting and documenting information related to children and their families.
They also oversee the proper implementation of project activities in accordance with the organization's policies, donor requirements, and the fundamental principles of humanitarian action, ensuring full compliance with these standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Support the identification, registration, verification, and selection of beneficiaries in accordance with the project criteria.
•    Collect information, feedback, concerns, and complaints, and refer them through the established accountability and feedback mechanisms.
•    Conduct surveys and prepare six-month reports on children and families enrolled in the program.
•    Assist in data collection, surveys, and assessments of children and families supported by the project.
•    Maintain accurate records and documentation of children and families enrolled in the program.
•    Refer vulnerable individuals to appropriate project services or specialized support when needed.
•    Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safeguarding standards, humanitarian principles, and donor requirements.
•    Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support the effective implementation of the project.

Job Requirements

Qualification:
•    Bachelor’s degree in social work, Social Science, Journalism, Psychology, or a related field, with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
•    A high school diploma with (4) years relevant professional experience.
 
Experience:
•    Experience in humanitarian or development projects, with a focus on vulnerable children and families.
•    Strong experience in working and engaging with vulnerable children and families.
•    Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with a good understanding of community engagement, accountability to affected populations, child protection, gender equality, and protection principles.
•    Relevant experience in using reporting and data collection tools such as KoboToolbox, SurveyMonkey, Google Forms, and other similar platforms.

Skills and Abilities:
•    Strong understanding of the local context and conditions in Afghanistan.
•    Proficiency in English, Dari, and Pashto.
•    Strong skills in conducting surveys and preparing reports.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
