Job Descriptions:

    • Analyse the needs and requirements of clients and communities.
    • Tracking the progress of a project to ensure it meets the design standards, timeframes, and budget. Such as Site inspection, Schedule tracking, Quality control, Safety Checks to ensure compliance with local regulation
    • Choosing appropriate materials that meet design and safety standards, considering factors such as sustainability, cost, and durability.
    • Overseeing construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and according to design specifications.
    • Ensuring that designs meet local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
    • Working closely with architects, civil engineers, and construction teams to implement design concepts and solve technical problems.
    • Designing energy-efficient buildings and promoting sustainable practices, such as using renewable materials and minimizing environmental impact.
    • Assist in conducting technical assessments of communities, collecting data, and maintaining accurate records.
    • Help with the documentation of estimations, Cash for work project plans, and analytical measurements.
    • Provide support during the design and planning stages of livelihood projects, including infrastructure improvements and cash-for-work initiatives.
    • Accompany the team on site visits to monitor project progress, consult with contractors, and assess environmental conditions.
    • Assist in supervising labourers to ensure tasks are completed in line with project specifications.
    • Support in managing and documenting day-to-day construction activities related to water management, irrigation, and other infrastructure.
    • Work closely with field engineers to gather feedback on livelihood initiatives.
    • Assist in organizing and facilitating community meetings, training sessions, and educational programs aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and water management.
    • Help identify and establish market linkages for community products, contributing to income generation efforts.
    • Assist in developing training materials for Water User Committees (WUC) and other community groups.
    • Help with organizing capacity-building workshops aimed at enhancing technical and entrepreneurial skills in the target population.
    • Assist in the collection, entry, and analysis of project-related data.
    • Support in preparing regular reports on project progress, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
    • Support and implement monitoring and evaluation tools to track the impact of livelihood interventions.
    • Support the field engineers in liaising with local stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, and community leaders, to ensure alignment and cooperation.
    • Participate in internal and external meetings as required to stay informed and provide administrative support.

Job Requirements:

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in architecture engineering.
  • Relevant Experience: Have the ability to generating new irrigation infrastructure ideas.
  • Experience with design software’s such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3DMax, and so on.
  • Additional training or certifications in project management or community development will be an asset.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in design and drawing of irrigation canals, and projects, supporting livelihood, infrastructure.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles related to water management, agricultural infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software (e.g., MS Office, data entry tools) and the ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
  • Ability to work in a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with English and other local languages.
  • Strong commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and contributing to their development.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to follow tasks through to completion.
  • Willingness to travel to remote areas for fieldwork as required.
